He also informs me that perhaps Catherine was living with he mother at her Paternal grandparents in 1838, as the census for that year shows five members: James and Rebecca, a boy between six and fourteen, and two other females over fourteen. If Elizabeth was indeed living with her husband's parents at this time, the boy may well have been Solomon, who would have been about twelve at this time, and the girl would either have been Catherine or Lois.

Wesley [as he was bapt. but was called and wrote his name as Charles Wesley, or C.W.] was bapt. by Rev. G. Kennedy on May 21, 1854. Bapt. record gives his date of birth as May 5th, 1853, and his parents residence as Malahide Township. Since he was almost a year at this baptism, he could very well have been born in Nova Scotia and come to "Canada" with his parents, to one of Atwood's siblings during the previous year.
