Mrs. Arlene R. Oxner, 70, widow of Perleigh Oxner passed away suddenly at the Queens General Hospital on February 7. Death was due to heart ailment. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rodenizer and was born in Tancook, coming to Port Medway at an early age. After her marriage she resided in Norwood, Mass., where Mr. Oxner was associated with the Norwood Press, until his death eighteen years ago. Five years later Mrs. Oxner came to Port Medway to reside, and her niece Bertha Rhodenizer lived with her. She was a member of the Baptist church in Norwood, Mass., and was ever ready to assist in useful and charitable work in the Port Medway community. She had a kind and hospitable nature, so her home was always open for many social occasions. She will be sadly missed by her relatives and many friends.
