She was the former Martha Jane Vaughn, the daughter of James and Cassandra Vaughn and was born at Charleston, 71 years ago. She had been in failing health for some time but had only been confined to her bed for about two weeks. She was a member of the Mill Village United Church. In her immediate family she is survived by her husband, David McKinnon of Charleston, six sons and five daughters, Herford, Laurie, Parker, and Gordon McKinnon, all of Charleston, and Clifford and Pearl McKinnon, residing in Ontario. Dorothy and Frances McKinnon of Charleston, and Lulu, Hilda, and Cecelia McKinnon all residing in Boston, Mass. There are also three brothers and two sisters, Burton, Abraham, and Nelson Vaughn of Charleston and Mrs Minnie Hubley and Mrs Mary Benjamin of Boston. The funeral was held at the residence in Charleston on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with the service conducted by the Rev L.P. Archibald, pastor of the United Church.
